- Bamboo rolling mat

- Small bowl of water (to keep rice from sticking while handling or slicing)

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

1. Wash the cucumber and carrot thoroughly.
2. Peel the carrot and slice the cucumber into thin, long strips.
3. Shred the carrot into fine matchsticks.
4. Remove the sausage’s packaging and slice it into thin strips.
5. Measure ½ cup of cooked rice into a bowl.

Step 4: Roll the Sushi

1. Lift the bamboo mat from the bottom edge, holding the filling in place with your fingers.
2. Roll the mat upward, applying gentle but firm pressure to form a tight cylinder.
3. Continue rolling until the top edge seals the roll.

Step 5: Cut and Plate

1. Wet a sharp blade with a little water to prevent sticking.
2. Cut the sushi roll into 6–8 equal pieces.
